15 Common Objections · Rebuttal Framework · Practice Scripts
THE REBUTTAL FRAMEWORK
Every objection follows the same response pattern:
Acknowledge → Reframe → Bridge → Close
- Acknowledge: Show you heard them. “I understand that concern.”
- Reframe: Shift from their objection to the real issue. “The question isn’t whether to invest — it’s what the cost of NOT investing looks like.”
- Bridge: Connect to ORIGIN’s value with proof. “That’s exactly why NHC chose to work with us.”
- Close: End with a question that moves forward. “Would it help to see how we structured that?”
THE 15 OBJECTIONS
01 · "You’re too expensive"
REBUTTAL
I understand. If you were buying hours from an agency, that concern would make sense. You are not buying ORIGIN time, you are buying the outcome. NHC invested in this model and achieved 33% positive sentiment uplift and 37% faster campaign deployment. Dar wa Emaar got a complete brand architecture that unified their entire portfolio. The question is not whether your investment is high, it is whether your return justifies it. Would it help to look at the ROI structure we built for a similar engagement?
02 · "We already have an agency"
REBUTTAL
That’s common among our clients. The question is: who’s ensuring your agency executes strategy correctly? NHC had multiple agencies when they came to us. The issue wasn’t the agencies — it was fragmented brand expression across initiatives. We didn’t replace the agencies. We governed them through our Build & Guard model. Would it be useful to see how that works?
03 · "We just need a website / logo"
REBUTTAL
Understood. And we can deliver that. But let me ask: what’s the website supposed to achieve? If it’s about generating leads, converting prospects, and reflecting positioning — that’s not just a website. That’s strategy + brand + technology. Most of our real estate clients started with a similar ask and discovered the real need was broader. Dar wa Emaar started with a brand refresh and ended up rebuilding their entire MarCom strategy and processes. Want to explore whether that’s the case here?
04 · "We tried transformation before and it didn’t work"
REBUTTAL
That’s exactly why ORIGIN exists. Most transformation fails because strategy and execution are sold separately. A consultant delivers the roadmap and leaves. The agency interprets it. Execution drifts. Nobody’s accountable. ORIGIN stays through execution and owns the result. NHC had that exact experience before engaging us — fragmented communication, inconsistent brand, no governance. We built the governed system that fixed it. Can I show you how?
05 · "We need to think about it / Send us a proposal"
REBUTTAL
Of course. Before I do, can I ask: what specifically needs to be resolved before a decision can happen? Is it budget, timing, or stakeholder alignment? I want to make sure any proposal addresses the actual decision criteria, not just the scope.
06 · "Can you do a free pilot / sample first?"
REBUTTAL
I appreciate the interest. However, ORIGIN’s value isn’t in isolated samples — it’s in the integration of strategy, brand, and technology under governance. A free pilot would misrepresent what we do. What we can do is start with a focused AUDIT phase — a bounded diagnostic that delivers immediate value and proves the model. Would that work?
07 · "We’re talking to other companies"
REBUTTAL
That’s smart. All I’d ask is this: when you evaluate the others, check whether they integrate strategy, brand, and technology under one governance framework, or whether they’re an agency or tech firm doing one piece. The execution gap exists precisely because vendors work in silos. That’s the comparison that matters.
08 · "Our internal team can handle this"
REBUTTAL
They might. The question is whether they can do it while also running day-to-day operations. Most internal teams we encounter are strong executors but overwhelmed by transformation scope. Our BOT model is designed for this: we build and operate, then transfer to your team with a soft landing when they’re ready. Your team gets stronger, not replaced.
09 · "We don’t have budget right now"
REBUTTAL
When do budgets get reviewed? If the fiscal year resets in Q1, now is the right time to build the business case so budget can be allocated. We can help structure the investment case with ROI projections based on similar engagements. Would it help to have that ammunition?
10 · "Who else have you worked with in our sector?"
REBUTTAL
In real estate: NHC, Dar wa Emaar, Jeddah Economic Company, CBRE. In government: MHRSD, SDAIA, MCIT Qatar through Accenture. In consultancy: Accenture, BCG, PwC. 138 clients across 12 industries. But more importantly, what specific challenge are you facing? I’d rather show you a relevant case than list logos.
11 · "We need this done in 2 weeks"
REBUTTAL
If the deadline is real, we need to be honest: transformation doesn’t happen in 2 weeks. A website can. A pitch deck can. But strategic work requires AUDIT before FIX before GROW. Rushing delivers the same fragmented results that created the problem. What we can do is prioritize quick wins within a structured roadmap. What’s driving the 2-week timeline?
12 · "Can you just do the strategy and we’ll execute internally?"
REBUTTAL
We can, through our Build model. But transparency: the most common reason transformation fails is strategy gets handed off and execution drifts. If your team has capability, Build works. If there’s doubt, our Build & Guard model keeps us involved as strategic guardian. Which scenario fits your team better?
13 · "We want to see ROI before committing to a long engagement"
REBUTTAL
Completely fair. That’s why we recommend starting with AUDIT — 4 to 8 weeks, bounded diagnostic delivering a current state assessment, gap analysis, and strategic roadmap. You see immediate value, we prove the methodology, and you decide whether to continue based on results, not promises.
14 · "We’re not ready for full transformation"
REBUTTAL
That’s okay. We have a Service-based model for specific deliverables — a website, a brand strategy, a CRM implementation. Start where you are, deliver value, and the relationship evolves naturally if broader needs emerge. What’s the one thing that would make the biggest impact right now?
15 · "Can you do a free pilot / discount to win the business?"
REBUTTAL
We don’t discount because our pricing reflects the integration of strategy, brand, and technology under governance with subject matter experts. That’s not something you can get cheaper elsewhere — because nobody else offers it. What we can do is phase the engagement so the initial investment is bounded and proves value before scaling. Would a phased approach work?
PRACTICE
Read these out loud. Practice with a colleague. The goal isn’t to memorize scripts word-for-word — it’s to internalize the framework (Acknowledge → Reframe → Bridge → Close) so responses feel natural, not rehearsed.
